Can Tourism Help Reduce Poverty in Africa?

This briefing paper argues that the majority of African governments miss out on the potential to link national development strategies with tourism. Many development agencies also have a relationship with tourism, which is often little more than ambivilent. The briefing offers a case in support of the benefits brought though the tourist trade.
