The conference addressed the growing interest in the form, direction and mechanisms of Japanese aid and the domestic policy environment within which such aid operates.
The conference also discussed how to explain the economist success of East Asia and the role of international assistance in such success, as well as how to revive the economy in sub-Saharan Africa via international assistance.
